Zenaida Mayuga

Zenaida L. Mayuga “Tita Aida” age 86 of Norwalk, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2018 at home with her family by her side. She was born in the Philippines on October 12, 1931 and was a daughter to the late Julio Punazalan Mayuga and Luisa Legaspi Mayuga. She was a very independent and hard working woman who became the Supervisor for the Norwalk Hospital Blood Bank. She was very active in several charitable organizations. She loved America, in her words, “Peace.”

Surviving family include, Guia Odulio and Maria Luisa Leano, both of California;
Julio Mayuga Jr. of the Philippines; sister-in-law, Ofelia Mayuga of Norwalk; a nephew Michael Mayuga of Bridgeport and several more nieces and nephews, Rita Santanilla of Virginia and Toni Sadler of Florida. She was predeceased by three sisters, Beatrice Mercado, Fe Huerto and Josie Belvis; one brother, Aguedo Mayuga.

Friends are invited to greet the family on Wednesday May 2, 2018 from 4:00 till 8:00 pm in Norwalk’s Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home and Crematory, 5 East Wall Street . A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday May 3, 2018 at 10:00 am directly at St. Matthew’s Church, 216 Scribner Ave. Interment will be private and at a later date.
