William D. Ward, or "Bill the Bondsman" as most knew him, passed on January 24th, 2025 at the age of 65. He was an impassioned stock broker who could find no greater joy than finding the next big idea, and strumming his favorite music on the guitar in his office.
Bill led a storied life, beginning as an entrepreneuring child with a gift for gab in Evergreen, Colorado. As a teenager he was a traveling rockstar in a local band called ARGUS, and shortly after a member of the Indie 500 pit crews. Though when he returned to college studying finance, he saw an opportunity in the home equities market, immediately leaving school to make his name in the realm of money and capital. It was natural that he would journey to New York's Wall Street to make it in the Big Apple, and reconnect with his own father. While in New York he met Lillian Vicenty and became a father himself to Jonathan Ward. Gladly taking on the role, Bill found time to work, play golf, and still raise his boy. His son never left his side while he was ill, Lillian and her brother Antonio also visited and cared for him in his final days.
Whatever Bill set his mind to, he pursued it with an absolute intensity. Openly sharing all he knew on a given topic whether it was the stock market, golf, music, politics, and fatherhood. There was no doubt in his or anyone's mind that he would have liked to keep at his interests, for as long as the good Lord would let him. William is survived by his son, Jonathan "Jack" Ward.
