William Mclaughlin

William Harold McLaughlin was born on January 21, 1937, in Norwalk, CT. He died on December 20, 2024, at age 86. He was predeceased by his brothers John (Jack) and David.
Bill was an avid runner and had joined a running club many years ago. He had a large bookcase filled with trophies that he had won in various races. While in his 60’s he ran the Boston Marathon and his run time qualified him to be invited back for the next year, which he declined. He said, “once was enough”. He also enjoyed playing golf.
He was an animal lover and gave a home to a few stray cats over the years. He also donated to the SPCA and a few other charities when he, himself, didn’thave much. He shared the little that he had with others.
The most wonderful thing that happened for Bill is that he found the Lord. A regular at St. Paul’s on the Green, he would walk to church if he could not get a ride. His joy and contentment were obvious to all who knew him.
Bill leaves behind his twin brother, Tom McLaughlin and his wife Teresa and his sister, Linda and her husband Jim Costello, and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at St. Paul’s on the Green, 60 East Ave., Norwalk on Saturday, January 11, 2025,at 1:00pm.
