In loving memory of William Matthew Kiedaisch who passed away peacefully in his home after his battle with pancreatic cancer, on October 22, 2019. Bill would have celebrated his 54th birthday on October 31, 2019.
Bill grew up in Downers Grove, Illinois & moved to Westport, CT when he was 12. Bill was the son of the late William Kiedaisch & Rosanne Vyhnal Kiedaisch who currently resides in Florida. Beloved husband of Lyne Doucet Kiedaisch and loving father of Nicholas & Lindsay Kiedaisch. Also survived by his brother Andrew Kiedaisch (New Haven, CT) and brother & sister in laws, Michel & Monique, Claude & Nicole Doucet (Bathurst, N.B. Canada) and Jeffrey & Diane Poirier (Ottawa, ON Canada). He leaves behind his niece and nephews Eric, Julie, Jeron & Brayden (Canada), many relatives (Florida , Canada & all over USA) along with numerous friends & colleagues in the community.
He graduated from Staples High School in 1984 & went on to Eastern Connecticut State University where he represented his class of 1988 as Class President with a major in Marketing & a minor in Psychology. He then got his MBA at Sacred Heart University while working full time and busy bringing up Nicholas (2 yrs) & Lindsay (new born) at the time. He coached several sports with his kids & never missed any of their competitive games or meets. He was a member and Chair of the boating advisory committee in Westport for several years to continue to help improve our town & community.
Bill had several passions but being the best at these accomplishments was a strong part of his personality. He was known for his meticulous work in any project he undertook and was never satisfied unless it was perfect! This led him to great success in his career with Pitney Bowes, where he was well respected by his colleagues and employees.
Bill truly adored his wife Lyne, and was so proud of his kids Nicholas and Lindsay. He had strong family ties, was passionate about boating, fishing, maintaining his home & lawn and his career with Pitney Bowes as Director Global Sales Operations.
One of his favorite destinations every summer was at Smallian Lake, Canada to recapture the title of “Bass Master Champion” against his brother in law & best friend, Jeffrey Poirier. Also known as “Nitzy”, he only lost two out of the ten years competing for this title. A true testament to his competitive nature!
Bill will be dearly missed by his family, friends & colleagues. His memory will always be in our hearts as he has left us with so many incredible experiences, words of wisdom, smiles, laughter, admiration and most of all, love.
In his honor, A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Hoyt-Cognetta/Raymond Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street, In Historic Norwalk.
