Vladimir (Val) V. Pirc Long time Norwalk Resident Vladimir V. Pirc age 84 passed away on October 14, 2014 at the Jewish Home for the Elderly in Fairfield. He was born in Queens, NY on September 26, 1930 and was a son to Valentine & Josephine Kralj Pirc. Val was recently predeceased by his loving wife Delight "Dee" and son Douglas Pirc. He was also predeceased by his sister, Josephine, and her husband, Lou Wichers. Val was a retired Mechanical Engineer for Pitney Bowes. Survivors include his loving son Broderick Pirc (Elaine), their daughter Tiffany Pirc and sons Shawn Morris all of Bethel and Trevor Pirc (Kelly) of South Carolina; loving daughter-in-law Loretta Pirc and her sons Cameron Pirc (Blair) all of Orange and Christopher Pirc (Emily) of New Haven and daughter Carolyn Pirc of Virginia. Val was an avid boater and fisherman. He was a past member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Val was a talented woodworker who proudly displayed the furniture and model boats he crafted. His family will especially miss his quiet sense of humor and his gentle smile. Friends may greet the family on Friday October 17, 2014 from 10:00 AM till Noon at Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street.
