Vivian W. Andino, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully at St. Vincent's Hospital November 6, 2024 in Bridgeport, CT.
Vivian leaves behind her husband of 40 years, Peter M. Andino, who will love her always and forever. She also leaves behind two sons, Michael and Mark, who both inherited her courage, positive attitude, and spirit to win the fight with Metastatic Breast Cancer for almost 30 years.
Born on September 8, 1962, Vivian was valedictorian of her Montour High class in Pittsburgh and a Summa Cum Laude Biology graduate of Westminster College. Ironically, her first job was as a cancer research assistant at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, followed by dental assistant jobs after moving to CT in 1985.
Vivian enjoyed watching her sons' events, which included soccer, baseball, football, basketball, swimming, tennis, choir, musical, and various academic events. Her favorite pastime was jogging, taking long walks and playing tennis. She was also known to enjoy an occasional Merlot with many of her good friends!
A wonderful wife, an outstanding mom and friend to so many almost anywhere she went. She always put others first and tackled everything the way she got the best of her cancer condition for so many years. She'll be remembered as one of the kindest, most thoughtful souls, always looking to help others and will be missed dearly.
In Lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to the St. Vincent's Center For Cancer Care, 2800 Min Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 066606, under the direction of Dr. Richard Zelkowitz, her friend and Doctor throughout her 30 year journey.
