Velma J. Young

Velma Young, 77, longtime resident of Norwalk passed away quietly on March 1, 2022 in The Carlton of Fairfield. She was born April 24, 1944 in Miami, Florida to the late William and Wilma Van Kleek. She is predeceased by her husband of 54 years, William K. Young. Velma enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing and loved being a grandmother and great grandmother.

Velma is survived by three daughters, Cheryl Beck and husband Shawn Beck of Westerly, RI, Jodi Young and husband Charlie Weston of Fairfield; and Suzanne Young of Norwalk. She also leaves behind grandson Tim Lash, his fiancé Theresa and their daughter Wren of Stratford; and grandson Keith Kimball of Norwalk.

A memorial service will be celebrated Saturday March 5, 2022 at The Raymond Funeral Home in Historic Norwalk, 5 E Wall Street Norwalk, CT from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M.
