Thomas M. Mackno age 61, a lifelong Norwalk resident, peacefully passed away Monday January 20, 2014 in Norwalk Hospital surrounded by his loving mother, relatives and close friends. Thomas was born September 13, 1952 and was a son to Agnes Boros Mackno and the Late John Mackno. He graduated from Norwalk High School in 1970 and served in the National Guard for six years. Tom was the past Organist for the Calvin Reformed Church, he Loved and had a a passion for music and teaching others. He was known for his keyboard virtuosity and played in many bands locally & nationally including; Warship, Hollywood Picture Show & Adonis. He was fun loving and enjoyed gatherings and parties with with friends and family. Tom was also a manager and designer of musical instrument cases in Connecticut and Texas. In addition to his loving mother Agnes, he is survived by a son Justin Mackno and daughter Rachael Mackno both of Dallas, TX. As well as many cousins and friends. He was predeceased by a brother Robert J. Mackno. Friends may greet the family on Friday January 24, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street. A prayer service with be held at 7:30 pm. Interment wil be private and at the convenience of the family.
