NEWTOWN/NORWALK,CONN Therese (Broadhurst) Henion, age 74, of Newtown, CT died suddenly on Monday April 11, 2011. She was predeceased by her husband John A. Henion, Jr., and both of her parents: Woodrow Wilson Broadhurst and Edith (Anderson) Broadhurst. She was born in Norwalk, attended Norwalk schools and lived most of her life locally. She worked for many years at Edwards Company and more recently Norden Systems, both in Norwalk, until her retirement. Therese is survived by her four sons: Wayne Henion, a retired Sergeant of the Norwalk Police Dept. and currently of Mathews, VA; Brian and wife Joyce (Fusillo) Henion, of New Milford, CT; Gregory and wife Megan (Page) Henion, of Beacon Falls, CT; and Scott Henion of Norwalk, CT. In addition she is survived by nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The Henion family will receive friends on Friday, April 15, 2011 in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street from 4:00PM - 8:00PM. Therese's funeral will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 10 AM at the Beacon Hill Evangelical Free Church, Old Zoar Rd, Monroe, with the Rev. Rich Flashman to officiate. Interment will be held privately, at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the American Diabetes Association/www.diabetes.org.
