Theodore Montgomery Lennox Edwards, known as Lennox and to those closest to him as Lenny, was born on May 21, 1970, in Freetown, Antigua and Barbuda, to the late Ogden Edwards and the late Aldona Martin-Ward. He passed peacefully on May 21, 2026, in Uniondale, New York, on the day of his 56th birthday.

Lennox was raised in the community of Freetown, where he was shaped by the values of his family, his church, and his neighbors. He attended Freetown Primary School and the Wesleyan Holiness Church with his grandmother, and was a member of the Boys Brigade. His early years were marked by curiosity, hands-on creativity, and a deep respect for his elders. He learned the art of baking from the village baker, Mr. Warner, and carried that craftsman's spirit into everything he built throughout his life.

In April 1986, at his grandmother's direction, Lennox migrated to the United States alongside his uncle Wycliffe Gomes. His aunt Rosemary Ralph welcomed him, and together Wycliffe and Rosemary became his anchors in a new country. He settled on Long Island, found his footing through kitchen work and a range of trades, and eventually discovered his true calling in landscaping and handyman services. He named his business Caribbean Soul.

His clients did not just hire him. They trusted him. His work was precise, creative, and held to a standard he set for himself: if the job did not satisfy the client, it did not satisfy him. He made his home in Southampton, New York, building a life rooted in craft, honesty, and the quiet dignity he carried from Freetown.
