Stephen J. Conlin

Stephen J. Conlin passed away peacefully on October 10,2018 at the age of 96. Born June 21,1922 in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Stephen and Caroline Conlin.

He graduated from LaSalle Academy in the Bronx and started working for Chemical Bank before being called into the Army for World War II. While in the army he was stationed in the Pacific for 3 years. Upon his discharge he returned home to work his way up to Vice President of Government Bond sales at Chemical Bank. He also came home to the love of his life, Edna Grove. He and Edna were married for 71 years.

In addition to his wife Edna, Stephen is survived by 4 children. Stephen Conlin, Jr.(Suzanne), Kathy Wile (Jed,) Diane Phillips (Charles) and Caroline Gaglio (Anthony) . Nine grandchildren Stephen (Kelsea), Sarah (Jeff), Heather (Phillip), Brendan, Elizabeth, Katharine, Anthony (Danielle), Jessica and Christopher. Three great grandchildren Jase, Liam and Zander.

He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Elizabeth Conlin.

The family would like to thank Constellation Hospice Care and the staff at Bridges Memory Care Facility in Norwalk.

Friends may greet the family on Sunday from 4:00 till 8:00 PM at Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street in Historic Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 15 at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle, 203 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT  06855.
