Sam Mills, 62, sadly passed away suddenly on January 19. Sam was a lifetime Norwalk resident, currently residing in Bridgeport, CT and graduated from Brien McMahon High School. Sam was a kind-hearted man and always put a smile on peoples face with his witty sense of humor. Sam enjoyed the simple things in life, checking out new restaurants, coffee and reading the morning paper, and for those who knew him well, trips to NYC, cleaning his car and walking the mall were among some of his favorite pastimes. Sam was a beloved son, brother, and father. He is survived by his mother, Betty Mills, his sister Debbie Harrick and his daughter, Jessica Mills. Preceding him in death was his father, Sam Mills.
A memorial service will be held in Sam’s honor on Sunday, January 30 at The Raymond Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street in Historic Norwalk, from 12-3PM. In lieu of flowers and/or memorial donations, Sam’s daughter Jessica, asks that donations be made, in memory of Sam, to the American Diabetes Association to help raise awareness and end the diabetes epidemic.
“Daddy…They say there is a reason, they say time will heal, they say you are at peace and that I’ll find comfort in the countless memories we shared, but neither time or reason will change the way I feel. Gone are the days we used to share, but in my heart, I know you will always be there. I miss you more than anyone knows. I love you always and forever. Till we meet again daddy”
