Salvador Olmeda, Jr., age 49, of Norwalk, CT passed away on January 4, 2019. Salvador was born in Norwalk on August 12, 1969 and was a lifelong resident. He attended Norwalk High School.
Sal was employed at Sono Seaport restaurant as a cook and was the owner of Don Corona promotions and the 99¢+ stores in Norwalk.
His first love was his family who always had a special place in his heart. He was a man who loved music, dancing, cooking and especially playing the Guiro to make everyone happy. Sal’s smile and big heart touched so many people. When Sal walked into a room the party officially started. He joked, laughed and danced and made sure everyone was happy and having a good time.
Salvador is survived by his father Salvador (Margarita) Olmeda Sr., mother Esmerelda (Miguel) Sanchez; sister Carmen (Luis) Olmeda-Landrau and brother Juan Carlos Olmeda, daughters; Jacqueline Olmeaa, Katherine Rosa, and sons; Salvador Olmeda III and Joshua Olmeda. Grandchildren are; Anais Berbesi, Emily Tinoco and Deyren Rojas, and nephews; Michael Delgado, Juan Christian Olmeda, and niece Kylie Olmeda.
Friends may visit the family on Thursday January 10, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hoyt Cognetta/Lesko Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street in Historic Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on January 11, 2019 at St. Joseph Church on S. Main Street, South Norwalk, with Father Frantz Desruisseaux officiating.
