WILTON, CONN Accomplished bath designer, Ruthann O'Neil of Wilton passed away while surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 16, 2010. She passed away in her home, following a short battle with Cancer. She was 46 years old. Born on November 17, 1963, Ruthann was the daughter of the late Ruthe Irene O'Neil and graduated from Somerville High School in 1980. She continued her education at the Fort Lauderdale Institute of the Arts. She received her bachelor degree in music and art. Ruthann designed homes and baths for many high profile clients of Fairfield County for 15 years. She was well known and respected throughout the industry for her superior work ethic and design capabilities. What clients loved most about her was her wonderful creativity. As an artist, she enjoyed designing, painting and drawing. In her spare time, Ruthann kick boxed and recently achieved her black belt in karate. But most of all, her family was her life and she will be missed by all who's lives she touched. She is survived by her beloved spouse of sixteen years, Paul A. Zollino; two daughters, Jessica R. O'Neil of Torrington and Nicole C. Zollino of Wilton; one brother, Sean O'Neil of Boston, Mass; a sister, Christine O'Neil of Billerica, Mass; a granddaughter, Peyton A. Fitzgerald and three nephews. Also surviving is her long life friend, Connie Sterling of Hernando Beach, Florida. Preceding in death was her sister, Lisa Pantalieri who passed in November of 2009. Ruthann's family will receive friends on Friday, May 21, 2010 in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. Her funeral and burial will be held privately. Kindly omit flowers. Instead, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Whittingham Cancer Center of Norwalk.
