Ruth Craig age 97, formerly of Norwalk, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 14, 2014 in Wilton Meadows. She was born on July 10, 1917 and was a daughter to the late Thomas E. & Anna Corcoran Burke. Ruth was a retired Secretary and Treasurer for the American Cancer Society in Norwalk. She was pre deceased by her husband Charles J. Kardos, Jr. Survivors include a beloved daughter Lucinda Buckley (Ronald) of Norwalk and two loving sons, Charles J. Kardos (Jacqueline) of Naples Fl. and John Wayne Kardos (Kathy) of Citrus Springs Fl; Grandchildren Kristi A. Remy (Eric), Candace Lynn Buckley (Christopher), Charles Joseph Kardos (Aesia); Great-grandchildren Stephen Kardos, Andrew Remy, Ryan and Ashley Buckley, Tyler Mikenis, Erica and Jackson Kardos. A special thank you to the wonderful caregivers at Wilton Meadows. Friends may greet the family on Friday November 21, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday November 22, 2014 at 10:00 am Directly in St. Matthew's Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Norwalk. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk, CT 06854.
