NORWALK, CONN Rosalie Perez of Norwalk, CT, passed away peacefully on July, 20th 2011. She lost a gallant and brave fight against cancer at the Connecticut Hospice of Branford. Rosalie was born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico in 1940 to her parents Gabina and Juan Perez. She is survived by 3 biological children, Keith Colon, Gary Colon, and Rebecca Colon-Evans; son in law Christian Evans; 7 grandchildren, Keith Colon Jr., Gary Colon II, Anthony Colon, Jovan Colon, Jahsiah Colon, Sebastian Colon, and Jace Colon-Evans; 1 great-grand daughter Malaya Colon, as well as countless other "children" that called her Mom & Grandma. She is also survived by her 5 sisters, Carmen Martinez, Rachel Santiago, Juanita Canales, Maria Milone, and Olga Garcia of Florida, and 1 brother, Raymond Perez of Queens, NY, as well as countless Nephews and Nieces all across America. She will be remembered by the many lives she touched and nurtured in her 71 years of life. She was loved and will be missed by all those who knew her. Rosalie's family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, July 24, 2011 in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street from 1:00PM - 5:00PM. Her service will be held at 3:00PM. Interment will be held privately. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, to please make memorial contributions in her name to a local Hospice.
