NORWALK, CONN Roman Stankiewicz of Norwalk passed away on Friday, June 26, 2009 in Norwalk Hospital, following a lengthy illness. He was 63. Born in Germany on December 23, 1945, he arrived in the states in his early teens. Later on, he met and married his beloved wife of twenty-five years, Barbara (Reda) Frate-Stankiewicz. He was a US Marine veteran of the Vietnam War. Roman was a manager at the former Paine-Webber Co. for over thirty years, retiring in 2007. He was a private man who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was also an avid fisherman and enjoyed cooking. Along with his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Michele M. Agosto, and his son-in-law Peter Agosto, Jr. of Norwalk; two grandchildren, Miranda and Justin Agosto of Norwalk; a brother, Mitchell Stankiewicz of California and his two fur-children', Tashia and Pumpkin.
