Robert D. Pond age 80, beloved husband for 56 years to Arlene Roxbugh Pond, passed away on October 11, 2015 in Norwalk Hospital. Robert was born in Harpersville, NY on March 17, 1935 and was a son to the late Ferris & Alice Hartwell Pond. He was a proud Veteran of the Korean War having served in the United States Air Force. Robert had worked as a driver for Vallerie Transportation for many years prior to his retiring. Survivors in addition to his wife Arlene include four sons and their wives, Robert & Susan Pond of Kings Park, LI., Thomas & Wendy Pond of Fairfield, Kenneth & Victoria Pond of Greenwich, William & Janette Pond of Trumbull; and fifteen grandchildren. All services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
