Robert Armstrong Fuller, 86, died October 2, 2026 in Wilton, CT. Born in Jackson Heights, NY to parents Albion and Beryl Fuller, “Bob” grew up and lived in Wilton for over 77 years. He graduated from St. Paul’s School, Dartmouth College, and the law school at the University of Pennsylvania.

Bob is survived by his loving and devoted wife Margaret P. Langer, sister Elizabeth Boshart, children Bradley (Tonya) Fuller, Carolyn (Greg) King, and 4 grandchildren Colin and Aiden King, and Carl and Grace Fuller.

He enjoyed nature and spending time with Margaret, his family and friends. A lifelong hockey player and avid Dartmouth hockey fan, Bob continued to play for local club teams well into his 70’s. He and Margaret loved attending hockey games. Bob was a voracious non-fiction reader and always looked forward to attending his prep school and college reunions where they would share stories and engaging intellectual discussions on politics, history and current events.

Bob was a dedicated lawyer in Connecticut for over 58 years. He was a partner in the law firm Lovejoy, Hefferan, Rimer and Cuneo and the town attorney for Wilton for many years prior to his appointment as a Connecticut Superior Court Judge. Judge Fuller continued in private practice and served as the town attorney for several other towns in the state until his retirement in 2022. As a zoning law specialist, he wrote a 3-volume law reference book entitled Land Use Law and Practice, which “has guided practitioners and courts for decades” and is “the most cited secondary source in Connecticut judicial decisions.” In November 2022, the Connecticut Bar Association’s Planning and Zoning Section bestowed Judge Fuller with a Lifetime Achievement Award, an honor only given three times in the section’s history. Additionally, he served as a Captain in the U.S. Naval Judge Advocate General Corps for over 25 years.

Robert has been entombed with military honors in his family’s crypt at Ferncliff Mausoleum in Hartsdale, NY. It was a private service with immediate family. If you would like to make a donation, in lieu of flowers, we suggest military service dog charities such as K9s for Warriors, America’s VetDogs,Mission K9 Rescue, or U.S. War Dogs Association. A dog lover himself, Bob cared about our canine heroes.
