Richard Michael Koronkiewicz, 45 years old died suddenly last week. Richard was a native of Norwalk and graduated from Brien McMahon High School as salutatorian in 1989. He attended Yale University Science classes in 9th grade, Sacred Heart University in 10th grade and was honored with a course at Choate Rosemary Hall during the summer of his 10th grade year. Richard attended Renselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy New York after graduation from High School, where he studied physics Recently he returned to Norwalk Community College to get an Associates degree in Computer Science.
He is survived by his father, Stanley J Koronkiewicz of Norwalk, his mother and stepfather Nancy and Gene Suttenberg of Norwalk , his sister and brother-in-law Lori Anne and Jeffrey Paulin of Bethel and two nieces, Jillian Paulin and Kaitlyn Paulin. He is also survived by a step brother Michael (Kelly) Suttenberg of Michigan, and their daughters Ella and Madilyn, and step sister Michelle Suttenberg of Southington.
He also leaves behind his Aunt Virginia (Louis) Guimond, of Norwalk, Uncle Arthur Ruggieri of New Canaan and Uncle Mike (Virginia) Ruggieri of East Norwalk, and his Aunt Cassandra Ruggieri of Alabama He is predeceased by his Uncle Roger Ruggieri. He is also survived by many cousins and 2nd cousins, and a large extended family
Calling hours will be Wednesday, Mar 30 from 4 to 8 pm at the Hoyt Cognetta Funeral Home at 5 East Wall Street Norwalk, Ct. On Thursday Mar 31 at 10:00 am services will be held at St Matthew Church 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk, with interment following at St John's Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue in Norwalk.
