Raymond Grey Scoggins, Jr.

February 11, 1946 — January 29, 2023

Raymond Grey Scoggins, Jr., age 76 of Norwalk, Connecticut and East Petpeswick, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2023.  Ray was born on February 11, 1946, in Memphis Tennessee to the late Raymond and Bertha Scoggins.  He attended Staunton Military Academy and Parsons College in Fairfield, Iowa. Professionally, Ray founded and was President of Grey Associates, an executive recruiting firm.

Ray was a force of nature and lived an active and meaningful life.  He was involved in his community, having served as Past Commodore and Treasurer of the Norwalk Boat Club and Past President, Zone and District Chairman of the Norwalk Lions Club. He was passionate about nature conservation and served in various capacities within the Ducks Unlimited Organization for over 40 years including Past Chairman of the Aspetuck Valley Chapter, Past State Chairman for CT, Past Regional Vice President for the North Atlantic Flyway and Past President of the Emeritus Board.  He was a Life Sponsor in perpetuity for Ducks Unlimited in the United States, Canada and Mexico and had been currently serving on the National Shooting Committee and as a member of the Emeritus Board.  His other hobbies included hunting, fishing, traveling, and reading.

Ray was predeceased by his parents and sister, Patricia Jenkins. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Susan Scoggins, his sister, Connie and husband Ralph Ward, his daughter, Alison and husband Efren Lopez, and grandchildren, Peyton Trautmann and Jennifer and Jordan Lopez; along with many amazing nephews, nieces and grand-nephews and nieces.
