R. David Shaw, 70, of Weston, CT, passed away on February 7, 2018, at Norwalk Hospital. A most beloved husband and amazing father, and adoring grandfather, David was well-loved in the community, grounded in spirit and giving full attention to every person in his path. He could turn his hand to anything: artist, gardener, chef, carpenter, sailor, competitive swimmer, Eagle Scout (Order of the Arrow), monkey man, baby whisperer, Montessori school trustee, teacher, potter, stock picker, crossword-puzzle buff, Home Depot fan, UCONN graduate (B.A. and M.A.), and loyal friend. David took great pleasure in his morning coffee-and-newspaper and driving his minivan around town. “I am just living to be lying by your side. But I’m just about a moonlight mile down the road.”
