July 8, 1948 — August 28, 2013

Percy Lee Pride age 65 beloved husband of Marguerite Beaumont-Pride of Norwalk, passed away on August 28, 2013 at Brighton Ridge Gardens in Stamford surrounded by his family. Percy was a son to the late Samuel A. Pride, Sr. and Lucy Oliver Pride. He was predeceased by a brother Samuel A. Pride, Jr. Lee graduated from Port Chester High School in New York and joined the United States Air Force. He was honorably discharged Veteran of the Vietnam War having served our country four years in the US Air Force. Lee worked 37 years as a Materials Handler for CL & P where he retired from on February 1, 2009. He was an active member of the Port Chester, NY American Legion. He coached his sons in Little League baseball, enjoyed playing golf and watching all sports. Lee loved his family and lived life to the fullest. In addition to his wife Marguerite, he leaves a former wife, Geraldine Swift-Pride-Dennison; two sons Samuel Pride of Myrtle Beach, SC; Howard D. Pride of Naugatuck; four grandchildren Justin S. & Ryan J. Pride of Stamford; Brittany R. Pride of Clayton, NC and Howard D. Pride of Naugatuck; three brothers Coleman Pride and his wife Kathy; Stephen Pride and Francis Pride and his wife Marie; three sisters Pearl Pride, Christine Nicholson, and Cecilia Johnson and her husband Abraham; as well as a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nephews, Nieces, Cousins and friends. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation and sincere thanks for all the love, concern, cards, and words of encouragement and visits that have been shown to them during their time of bereavement. The Pride family will receive guests on Thursday, September 5, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Norwalk's Hoyt Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street, Norwalk, CT., www.norwalkfh.com. A prayer service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Interment with full military honors will take place in Arlington National Cemetery at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to; Alzheimer's Association, Southwest Regional Office, 607 Main Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06851 or Masonicare, 535 Connecticut Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06854.
