WESTON, CONN Pearl Mary Kovacs Russakoff , age 86, of Weston, CT, died February, 23, 2011 after a brief illness. She was born August 15, 1924 in Norwalk, CT, the daughter of the late William and Pearl Herman Kovacs. Pearl is pre-deceased by her husband Robert Samuel Russakoff. She was a retired homemaker who enjoyed baking, travel, was an avid gardener who lover spring flowers, a devoted bird watcher and she also enjoyed raising Beagles. Pearl is survived by her son, Robert D. (Rob) Russakoff of Duluth, GA and her sister Jean Hoyt of Wilton, CT. Pearl leaves behind many dear friends who have loved and supported her. She was a wonderful cook who enjoyed preparing her Hungarian pastries for family, friends and others. She loved to travel and cherished her memories of those enjoyable times. The family of Pearl will receive family and friends on Saturday, March 12, 2011 in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street from NOON - 2:00PM. Following calling hours, her memorial service will be held in the parlor at 2:00PM. Deacon Edward Sitton of Duluth, GA will officiate. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, Pearl requested donations be made in her memory to Richard Rosenthal Residence Hospice, 33 Shelburne Road , Stamford, CT. 06904.
