NORWALK, CT Paula Diane Avery of Norwalk, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2008 in her home, following a lengthy illness. She was 56. Born in Norwalk on February 10, 1952, Paula was the daughter of the late Charles R. and Nola L. (Cunningham) Price. She was a 1969 graduate of Brien McMahon High School. Paula was a homemaker who enjoyed surrounding herself amongst her family. She was also a member of the Norwalk Boat Club. She is survived by her husband of thirty-six years, Paul W. Avery, Sr; two sons, Paul W. Jr. and his wife, Nana Avery of Norwalk and Christopher C. P. Avery of Norwalk; a daughter, Lorraine E. Avery of Norwalk; five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death was a sister, Eleanor L. Price, who died in January. Paula's family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, January 3, 2009 in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street, from 12:00PM to 2:00PM. Services and interment will be held privately, at the convenience of the family.
