NORWALK, CONN Paul A. Nowack, a lifelong resident of Norwalk passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 08, 2010 at his residence, after being stricken ill. He was 62. Born in Norwalk on January 19, 1948, Paul was the son of the late Herbert J. Nowack and Marie H. (Erickson) Nowack, with whom he lived with. Following his graduation from J.M. Wright Technical School in 1969, he enlisted in the US Navy and served honorably for four years. Upon Paul's returned home to Norwalk, he worked at the former General Data Communication of Middlebury, Conn for over eighteen years before retiring. Paul was a lifelong member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and the American Legion - Post #12, both of Norwalk. He was a private man who enjoyed spending time with his family. Along with his mother, he is survived by his sister, Carol and her husband, George Watkins of Alaska and a niece, Ann Marie Bryant of Virginia. Paul's family will receive friends on Monday, December 13, 2010 in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street from 9:00AM - 10:30AM. The funeral cortege will then leave the parlor at 10:45AM and proceed to St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Parish, 203 East Avenue, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM. The Rev. Sudhir D'Souza will officiate. Interment with Military Honors will follow in the family plot at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk. Memorial Contributions may be sent to St. Thomas the Apostle.
