NORWALK, CONN Paul F. Dellaca of Norwalk passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2010 in Norwalk Hospital, after being stricken ill. He was 69. Born on October 11, 1940, Paul was the son of the late Frederick E. and Eleanor (Carbone) Dellaca and attended Norwalk High School and Fairfield Prep. He served in the Army National Guard and was called to duty in Germany during the Vietnam War. Upon his return home, he resided in Norwalk for a short time then relocated to California for many years. Paul worked as a banker for the former South Norwalk Savings Bank and Norwalk Savings Society, in addition to various financial institutions throughout Southern California. He returned to Norwalk in the late 1990's and resided here until his passing. Paul was an avid automobile enthusiast and had an impressive knowledge of the industry. He was a member of the Oldsmobile Club of Southern California and the California Chrysler Products Club. He also enjoyed traveling and making friends wherever he visited. He is survived by his sister, Ellen Ann Morrone of Norwalk; an uncle, Ernest Carbone of Norwalk and many cousins. Paul's funeral will be held on Friday, May 21, 2010 at 9:30AM from the parlor, when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Avenue, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM. Entombment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Norwalk. Flowers may be sent, or Memorial Contributions may be made in his name to St. Thomas the Apostle Church.
