Patricia Gallacher

Patricia A. (Pat, Patsy) Gallacher age 79 of Norwalk, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2018 in Norwalk Hospital. She was born on March 1, 1938 in Port Glasgow, Scotland.  Pat came to New York in the sixties where she made a living as a domestic worker.  She then moved to southwestern Connecticut and began her family. Later, Pat was a Customer Service Representative for Guinness Import Brewing Company in Stamford, CT until she retired to become a full-time grandmother to her two beloved grandchildren.

Pat took immense pleasure and pride in living with her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren.  She was a fan of classical music, bingo, slot machines, professional tennis, dogs and being outside on the deck with a good single malt scotch.

Survivors include her daughter, Michele DiMasi and her husband Agazio (Augie) grandchildren, Gabrielle and Dante DiMasi of Norwalk; as well as family members Carol Ann and Archibald Morrison of Saltcoats, Scotland.

Friends are invited to greet the family on Wednesday from 5:00 till 8:00 pm in Norwalk’s Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday 10:00 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Norwalk. Interment will follow.
