Pat P. Chiappetta

Pat Chiappetta, 77, of Norwalk, passed on June 27, 2018 in Norwalk Hospital with his children by his side. Born October 27, 1940 in Greenwich, CT, he was the son of the late Duke and Mary Chiappetta of Greenwich.

Pat grew up in Greenwich, graduating from Greenwich High School (Class of '58). After attending J.M. Wright Technical School of Stamford CT, Pat had his own machine shop, Elm Research Inc. In the mid 1980's he closed the shop and followed his passion for wood working and carpentry, calling the business Seville Woods.

Pat was an avid boater, spending most weekends on his boat "Checkmate" with friends and family. He loved dancing, bowling and tennis.

Pat's loving spirit will be sorely missed by his children Christine Asselta and Alicia Dennelly of Norwalk, Cathy and Steven Chiappetta of Greenwich. He was predeceased by his son David Chiappetta of Norwalk. Pat is also survived by his sister Maryanne, his brother Frank (Jazz) and wife Barbara, sister Grace and husband James and grandchild Katrina.

Pat will be remembered and missed as a hard worker and committed father who was always there for anyone who was in need. A memorial service celebrating his life and the life of his deceased son David will be held on Saturday, July 28th at 10 am at St, Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Road, Norwalk, CT. The Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
