Pasquale Libertino

Pasquale Libertino age 84, beloved husband for 64 years to Rosina Morgetano Libertino, passed away in Norwalk Hospital on December 20, 2017, while visiting his family in the United States. He was born on August 13, 1933 in Catanzaro Italy and was a son to the late Giuseppe and Antonia Chirico Libertino. Before retiring, he worked the land as a Farmer on his beloved tractor that he learned to drive at the age of 13. Pasquale was a skilled tractor operator and earned an award of a “Certificate” for his hard work. He enjoyed playing cards and talking to his many friends in the piazza in front of his house.

In addition to his loving wife Rosina, he is survived by and older sister, Rosina Libertino of Seravalle Serivia- Piemonte Italy; five children, Guiseppe Libertino and his wife Connie; Antonia Torcasio; Salvatore Libertino and his wife Palmina; Domenico Antonio Libertino and his wife Gisella; Caterina Cutri and her husband Giuseppe; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son-in-law Frank Torcasio.

Friends are invited to greet the family on Tuesday December 26, 2017 from 4:00 till 8:00 pm in Norwalk’s Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 am in St. Philip Church. Entombment will follow at St. John’s Mausoleum in Norwalk.
