Palma L. Sweet, age 73, a lifelong Norwalk resident died peacefully Friday evening August 3, 2018 at her home with her loving family by her side. Born in Norwalk, December 3, 1944 she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Loretta Murone Nasta. Palma was the wife of James Sweet.
Palma great joy came from gardening, cooking, traveling, attending Broadway Shows and most of all time spent with her family.
In addition to her husband, survivors include, two sons Michael Segura (Donna) of Harwinton, CT and Rev. Ralph Segura (Parochial Vicar of St Thomas the Apostle Church, Norwalk)
Two daughters, Diane Watson (Kitt) of New Canaan and Christine Ruiz (Michael) of Tampa, FL, one brother, Ray Nasta (Peggy) of Lakeland, FL and all her adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her loving step-children, Danny, Todd, Pam and Dawn also survive.
A Mass of Christian Burial held on Wednesday August 8, 2018 at 10:00 am at St Thomas the Apostle Church, East Avenue, Norwalk with Palma’s son Fr. Ralph Segura officiating (please go directly to church) Interment will follow in St John’s Cemetery, Norwalk the family will receive friends at the Hoyt Cognetta Funeral Home and Crematory, 5 East Wall St. Norwalk on Tuesday evening from 4 to 8 PM. The St. Ann's Auxiliary will be holding a prayer service at 7 PM.
