Otto Guhl, Jr. age 70, of Norwalk, CT passed away on Dec. 31st in Branford, CT. Otto was born on April 10, 1946 to Otto and Susan Guhl of Stamford, CT. He graduated from Rippowam High School in 1964 and was drafted into the army soon after. He was awarded two Purple Hearts for wounds received in action. He was married to Dianne Albonizio Guhl for 41 years.
He worked at Pitney Bowes for 38 years and in his retirement was a chauffeur for Elite Limousine of Norwalk, CT. He was an avid tennis player, die-hard Yankee fan, enjoyed spending time at the beach in his vacation home in Naples, FL and adored his two dogs, Porche and Lady.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three devoted children: Michael Otto Guhl, Elizabeth Guhl Pippa and her husband Randy, Elysia Guhl Page and her husband Greg. He has three loving grandchildren, Madison, Makenzie, and Declan.
Otto was predeceased by his loving parents and his sister, Alice Guhl Braun.
Calling hours are from 4-8 PM on Wednesday, January 4th at Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home on 5 East Wall Street in Norwalk, CT. A funeral service is scheduled at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 5th at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, 25 Camp Avenue in Darien, CT.
