Orlando Canedo (aka) Lali or Papalalo, born on August 27, 1943 to Nora Tardio and Guido Canedo passed away surrounded by his loving family on January 4, 2019 at Norwalk Hospital. Survived by his dear wife Martha and his four children; Marcello, Marco, Fred and Cecy, extended family Mirla, Heather and Peter, along with 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, brothers; Gonzalo and Eduardo Canedo, Esteban Kalafatic, and sisters; Norah and Rosario Kalafatic and Jackeline and Ivone Canedo.
Laly will be very missed by all his family and friends. Lali was one of a kind and as kind as an angel. He worked as a contractor most of his life and enjoyed cooking and watching cooking shows. He loved Sundays spent with his family and was an avid soccer fan. Always the life of a party, Lali loved to dance and to make you dance, and to laugh and to make you laugh. Most of all, he cherished the love of family and friendship. Papalalo, you will be missed immensely until we see you again. We LOVE you. May God have you in his Glory – Heaven has gained an awesome Angel.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for a memorial celebration of Lali’s life at Hoyt-Cognetta / Lesko Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street, In Historic Norwalk. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Avenue, Norwalk.
