Onofrio Giglio

Onofrio Giglio, 92, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 21, 2025.

Born on September 15, 1932, in Marsala, Sicily, Italy. Onofrio was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 61 years, Maria Giglio; his brothers Philip and Stefano; and sisters Antonetta and Angela.

He is survived by his sister Frances Recine of Florida, his daughter Anna (Giglio) Buono and her husband Francesco, and his son Anthony Giglio. He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Angela Buono and Pietro Buono, and great-grandchildren Juan (JJ), Kristina, and Aliana.

Onofrio worked for 30 years at UOP and continued his career at Howe Furniture for several years. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, dedication to his family, and warm presence.

Visitation will be held at Raymond Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street in Historic Norwalk on Sunday from 3:00 till 6:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday 10:00 am directly at St. Matthew's Church, Scribner Ave. Norwalk. Interment will follow at St.John's Cemetery.
