Olga Marina Rivas, age 67, of Norwalk, Ct passed away peacefully in her sleep January 11, 2018. Olga was born January 22, 1950 in Honduras where she grew up. She was the daughter of the late Amalia Rivas. Olga was a loving mother and grandmother, who always put her loved ones before herself. She would always give never expecting anything in return; she loved dearly and profoundly everyone around her. Not only was she a skilled cook in the kitchen, she was also the life of every party. Everyone will remember her for her love of music from the 60’s-80’s.
She is survived by her devoted family, her late husband, Rodolfo Gomez; daughter, Julia Gomez; 4 sons (two sets of twins) Tony, Jose R., Carlos and Gabriel Gomez; a sister Elssy Hernandez; three brothers Alejandro,Pablo, and Teddy; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; daughters in-law; many nieces and nephews and all her friends.
She will be greatly missed. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. in Norwalk’s Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m at St. Joseph’s Church, 85 South Main St, Norwalk. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Norwalk.
