Monica Gonzalez
It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Monica Gonzalez, an extraordinary woman who dedicated her life to her family. Born on December 21, 1965, in the Bronx, New York, Monica gracefully transitioned from this world on March 28, 2026. In her remarkable 60 years, she left an indelible mark on all who knew her, a legacy that will forever be cherished. Monica, a beautiful and remarkable human being, cherished her family deeply. She adored her granddaughters, was a devoted wife, a supportive daughter, a dedicated mother, a loving sister, and an inspiration to those fortunate enough to know her. Monica's presence touched the lives of everyone she encountered, guiding us all towards personal growth and strength through her wise counsel, compassionate spirit, and unwavering support. She was also a very hard worker, always dedicated to her career, and an inspiring leader. For the last 24 years of her life, she worked in the hotel industry, where her vast knowledge of the company was boundless and impressive. She was a true asset and partner to Marriott International. When Monica wasn't engrossed in her work, she indulged in her passion for cooking and baking. Her culinary creations were renowned for their delectable flavors, but her baking skills were truly exceptional. Her mouthwatering chocolate chip cookies and delectable cheesecake were always a hit at home and work. Whenever Monica was in the kitchen, everyone knew they were in for a delightful treat. Monica's favorite pastimes were gardening, particularly with herbs and vegetables for cooking. She adored the beach and could live there whenever possible with a book or magazine in hand. However, painting was her true passion. Her artistry was remarkable and deeply meaningful. All her paintings will be cherished and honored by her family. Monica's unwavering perseverance throughout her life and her deep love for her family serve as a testament to the profound bond she shared with them. We are truly honored and blessed to have had the privilege of sharing our lives with Monica. Her remarkable spirit will continue to inspire and uplift those who knew and loved her. Monica's legacy will forever reside in our hearts and memories, a cherished part of our lives. Monica is survived by her wife Mirella, daughter Aria, granddaughters Penelope, Sophia, and Grace, brothers Ravil and Rene, and parents Zunilda and René. We will honor and celebrate Monica's life at noon on Friday, April 24th, at St. Paul's on the Green Episcopal Church in Norwalk, CT. A reception will follow at the church's undercroft. Details of the times will be shared at a later time. May her memory comfort you with peace and her spirit live on forever in our hearts...
