Merle Leroy Kitchen age 94 passed away June 24th in Norwalk Hospital. He was born August 4, 1920 in Carroll Iowa. He is survived by his son Douglas J. Kitchen & wife Gloria of Norwalk, Ct his son Scott D Kitchen & wife Sarah Cucinelli of NY, NY as well as many nieces, nephews & Grand nieces and nephews. Merle was a Graduate of Cornell College Iowa, 1945, served in the Air Force Reserves from 1946 until 1972. He retired as a Colonel. Merle was a Master Business Counselor with General Business Services. From 1960 to 1990.He worked at Macy's. Lord and Taylor and Plymouth Shops In NYC in Human Resources. He was a Practicing Unitarian & lifetime Republican Merle's favorite activities included Dancing & travel and spending time with his family and friends There will be a Memorial service at Unity Center on July 12th at 1 PM Unity Center of Norwalk, 3 Main Street, Norwalk, CT. 06851 Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
