Resident of Norwalk Mary L. LaChapelle age 87 of Norwalk, passed away on November 29, 2014 in Norwalk Hospital. She was born on March 17, 1927 in Birmingham, AL and was a daughter to the late Mitchell & Sammie Lee Simmons Frizzell. Mrs. LaChapelle was the Chairperson for the United Nations Day for the City of Norwalk and was the Key Speaker on the 50th Anniverary of the U.N. Survivors include her sons Joseph LaChapelle, (Leela), Rummel & Matt LaChapelle, Jr. and fiancé Ester Williams; a brother Mitchel (Belinda) Frizzel; grandchildren, Rakeem, Raffael, Aisha, Anishka, Ashmani & Joseph, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Armonia, Alisa & Andrew. Friends may greet the family on Friday December 5, 2014 from 10:00 to Noon in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street.
