GIULIANO-Mary Giuliano, age 97, of East Norwalk, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Nicholas Giuliano. She was born December 14, 1914 in Altoona, PA. and was a daughter of the late Angelina Santella Morrone and Andrew Morrone. Mrs. Giuliano was retired from Supreme Slipper Factory and Sports Bathing Suit Faculty. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, traveling, and spending time with her family that she loved dearly. Survivors also include two daughters, Lucille Giuliano and Elizabeth Giuliano Mattera and husband Lorenzo Mattera Sr., five grandchildren, Lorenzo Mattera Jr. and wife Patti Porricelli Mattera, David Mattera and wife Maria Zoccali Mattera, Diana Mattera DiIorio and husband Rinaldo DiIorio, Donna Mattera Parrillo, and Paul Mattera, thirteen grandchildren Toni-Ann, Alyssa and Nicole Mattera, Olivia and Julia Mattera, Paul, Joseph, Mark, and Gina Marie DiIorio, Alanna and Erica Parrillo, Nicholas and James Mattera. She is also survived by a sister Edelia Matteo. She is pre-deceased by sisters Fanny Camparano, Jean Anastasia, Helen De Tomaso, and brothers Amerigo (Rick) Morrone and Frank Morrone, and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to greet the family Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 east Wall Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday July 9, 2012 at 10:00 am in St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Entombment will follow at St. John's Mausoleum, Norwalk.
