NORWALK, CONN Mary A. D'Amato Bouchard of Norwalk, died Saturday, June 12, 2010 in Norwalk Hospital. She recently celebrated her 82nd birthday. Mary was born on June 4, 1928 in Norwalk to the late Ernest and Margaret Postiglione D'Amato. She was a former employee of The Hat Corporation and retired from Perkin Elmer Corporation in 1984. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Bouchard Santo and her husband, Frank of Norwalk; her sister, Josephine (Babe) Veno of Coral Springs, FL; her sister-in-law, Dorothy D'Amato of Easton, Conn; her grandson, Frank Santo Jr., and his wife, Jessica of Norwalk; two granddaughters, Kristen Santo Ruggieri and her husband, Will of Norwalk and Alexis Santo of Norwalk; her great-grandson, Frank Santo III and her beloved nephews Dominick and Ernest Veno and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding in death were a brother, Edward D'Amato and brother-in-law Joseph Veno. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed being with her family. Mary's family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street from 5:00PM - 8:00PM. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 9:30AM from the parlor, where the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Avenue, Norwalk, when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM.
