Marlon Elvir age 45, passed away on October 17, 2019 at Yale New Haven Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Honduras on September 1, 1974 and was a son to Olayo Elvir Fonseca and Filena Centeno Elvir. Marlon was the husband of Ruth Avila, of Norwalk, and came to the United States to start a family and a successful construction business.
In addition to his loving wife, Max is survived by his children, Jesus Alberto Elvir, Johana Marcela Elvir, and Briana Nazareth Elvir, all of Norwalk, a sister, Patricia Socorro Castillo, two brothers; Juan Carlos Elvir and Luis Enrique Elvir. He was also blessed with two grandchildren; Yazmin Rodas and Julien Elvir. Max will be dearly missed by his loving family here in Norwalk and Honduras, as well as by his many friends and extended family.
Max enjoyed life. He was a successful contractor who took great pride in his craft and valued his customers, many of which became his friends. He was an avid fisherman, who loved the great outdoors, and spent his leisure time fishing, camping, grilling and gardening. He was a sports fan and could often be found rooting for the Patriots or the Yankees. He had a love for animals. Most of all, he cherished time spent with his family. He will be remembered as a kind and caring man.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation and service on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Hoyt-Cognetta / Raymond Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street in Historic Norwalk.
