Mark A Mones

June 10, 1954 — July 16, 2024

Mark Anthony Mones, 70, of Southbury CT and a long-time resident of Norwalk, CT passed away on July 16, 2024. Mark was born on June 10,1954 to the late Aaron J. Mones and Catherine I. Mones (Marino).

Mark graduated from Joel Barlow High School in Redding CT with the class of 1973. Mark had multiple careers during his life-time, most recently as a custodian of the Norwalk Public School until his retirement. He loved working with his colleagues and making the children smile. Mark’s most passionate career was as a videographer of Mark’s Video Productions, where he helped capture the memories of weddings, birthdays, and religious events. This passion translated over to every family event, where he was known to always have a camera in hand. Mark had the ability to make everyone he met smile, especially with his Donald Duck impression. Mark had a passion for cars, with a Corvette and Ford Thunderbird being his prized possessions. Last but not least, Mark’s greatest passion of all was his love of his family. He loved nothing more than showing off his children and two beautiful grandchildren to everyone he met.

Mark is survived by his loving wife Kim Mones (Calzone) of 43 years. Together they raised two children Ryan Anthony (Karen) Mones, of Trumbull, and Brittany Nicole (Patrick) Gill, of Stamford. In addition to his children he is survived by his two grandchildren Madison Rose Mones and Collin Patrick Gill. He is also survived by his sister Catherine R. Mones of Stratford, his brother Craig J (LaJean) Mones of Southbury, sister in-law Linda (James) Gorman of Oviedo FL, and several nephews and nieces.

The Mones family would like to thank the DaVita Center (Norwalk & Waterbury locations), Dr. Richard Gervasi, Dr. John NoVella, and Retired Dr. Donald Leone for the care they provided to Mark during his battle with Kidney Disease. As an organ recipient himself, Mark wanted to give back and donated his organs to help save others.
