Marilynn J. Vento passed away on Monday, April 28, 2008 in Norwalk Hospital while surrounded by her loving family. She was 75. Born in Norwalk, Conn. on August 5, 1932 to the late Joseph P. and Emily (Tagg) Kubovic, she attended local schools and graduated from Norwalk High School in 1950. She was married for fifty-six years to the love of her life, Edward J. Vento and raised a family of four here in East Norwalk. After a brief stint working with the Norwalk's Building Inspector years previous, as well with the former Hat Corp of America in East Norwalk, she embraced becoming a homemaker. Her passion was her family, and created numerous and wonderful memories along the way, that is now being shared fondly with others. Her nurturing ways extended outside the family, where Marilynn and her husband fostered five children and helped make a difference in their lives. And as a wonderful friend, she kept many elementary school friendships alive to this day and created new ones throughout her life. Marilynn was a member of the East Avenue United Methodist Church. Besides her beloved husband, she is survived by a son, Edward J. and his wife, Ana L. (Calderon) Vento of Norwalk; three daughters, Lynn M. Vento of Norwalk, Lori A. and her husband Jack B. Raymond of Rowayton and Leslie A. Vento, and her husband, Chad Licht of West Hartford; seven grandchildren, Eric Vento, Jake and Jenny Raymond and Kayleigh, Nathaniel, Timothy and MacKenzie Licht; one uncle, John Tagg of Shelton, and many cousins and dear friends. Marilynn's family will receive relatives and friends TODAY, Friday, May 2, 2008 in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory (Raymond Community Funeral Home), 5 East Wall Street (203.847.7291) from 4:00PM to 7:30PM. Her funeral service will be held in the parlor at the conclusion of calling hours, 7:30 PM. The Reverend Alexis Carol of the Rowayton United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Norwalk High School's Alumni Association, NHSAA, P.O.
