Marilyn Jean Reynolds of Norwalk passed away peacefully on August 31, 2015. She was born in Peekskill, New York on April 15, 1925. She is predeceased by her parents, Ethel M. (Hard) and Edward G. Richards of Stamford, CT. She is also predeceased by her sister, Dorothy P. Vredenburgh of Norwalk, CT; her brother, Donald E. Richards and her grandson, Frank Reynolds. She graduated from Stamford High School and worked many years until retirement in the personnel Department at Pepperidge Farm in Norwalk, CT. Marilyn is survived by her four children; Patricia Tucciarone (Norwalk), Debra Sullivan (Norwalk), Robert Reynolds (Norwalk), and Cynthia Ciaccia (Newtown); her niece, Jessica Richards Funk (Bayport, NY); five grandchildren, Kerry Sullivan Held (Brooklyn, NY), Erin Sullivan Byington (Boca Raton, FL), Carly Ciaccia Totillo (Bethel), Casey Ciaccia Martikainen (Monroe), and Samantha Ciaccia (Trumbull) as well as eight great-grandchildren. Marilyn was an eternal optimist, always had a smile on her face and made friends wherever she went. She loved to travel and visited many places all over the world with her dear friends. She also loved movies, reading books and playing scrabble with friends, and Tom Jones. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends are invited to attend a memorial celebration on September 12, 2015 at 10:30 am at the United Church of Rowayton, 210 Rowayton Ave. Rowayton, CT. The Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
