Marie L. Mascia age 83, a lifelong Norwalk resident, passed away on May 10, 2016 in Norwalk Hospital. She was the widow of Joseph Mascia, Sr and is survived by her children, Joseph, Bernadette, (Richard) and Charles; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Marie was a Crossing Guard at McGrath School and served on the Common Council from 1975-1977.
A Memorial Mass will be held on June 11, 2016 at 10:00 AM in St. Matthew's Church, 216 Scribner Ave. Norwalk. The Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements. Please visit
