Maria "Sandra" Chavarria

On the morning of July 27, 2019, Maria “Sandra” Chavarria passed away peacefully at the age of 62, with her family by her side. Maria was born on Sept 5, 1956.  She was born and raised in Honduras. She came to the United States in 1987 and was married to Lionel Chavarria.  The loving mother of five children; Jenny, Dayanara, Lionel, Guadalupe and Kimberly, 9 grandchildren, and 3 great- grandchildren.

Sandra most enjoyed spending time with her family, she loved to cook, loved animals, and her favorite color was red. Sandra was known for her strong-will and great personality. She had a great sense of humor, and was always able to make you laugh, no matter what battle she was struggling with on the inside. She could always put a smile on your face!  She was a fighter till the very end.  She will always be remembered and will live on in our hearts forever.  Our mother is our guardian angel and will look over us from the heavens above.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 4, 2019 from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm at the Hoyt-Cognetta / Lesko Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street, In Historic Norwalk, CT.   Burial will be private and at a later date.
