Margaret Ann Smith

On January 28, 2021 Margaret Ann Smith  unexpectedly passed away at Norwalk Hospital. Margaret Ann was born on May 6, 1957 in Pawleys Island South Carolina to the late John Wesley and Josephine Grant-Smith. Margaret Ann spent her formative years to early adulthood in Pawleys Island S.C. She attended and graduated from Howard High School in Georgetown S.C. Margaret also attended Denmark  College in Denmark SC. She relocated from Pawleys Island South Carolina in the late 70's to Norwalk CT and has been a resident of Norwalk for 45 years.

Margaret Ann was employed at NEON for over 20 years. She enjoyed dancing and was a friend  to many people within the Norwalk community. Margaret was a person who would listen to you and invited you into her home where you were welcomed. She had a quiet nature and you knew she was there as a place of solace and of course good eating.

Margaret Ann was predeceased by her two loving sisters JoAlice Hamilton-Smith and Patricia Smith. Margaret Ann will be sincerely  missed by all who knew her. She leaves to cherish her beloved memory; her son, Javon Rekeem Smith of Bridgeport CT; her loving sister Mary Lee Smith of Pawleys Island South Carolina; her only grandchild Jasiah Zair Smith of Bridgeport CT and a host of uncle, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends who will forever cherish and miss her presence.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service for Margaret Ann Smith at the Raymond Funeral Home, 5 Wall Street in Historic Norwalk, CT at 11:00 a.m. Monday February 8, 2021.
