"He who dwells in the shelter of the most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty," Psalm 91.1 Marc E. Buther 25 passed away suddenly on December 20th in South Salem, NY. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Catherine and David Torres, his maternal uncle, David Jr. and his paternal grandfather, Domingo Buther. He is survived by his loving parents, Luis and Marie and his brother Evan, sister-in-law Patty and grandmother, Julia. Marc leaves behind 18 first cousins, 14 second cousins, and numerous aunts, uncles, great aunts, and "foster" uncles and aunts, like Vinny and Maureen Mongiovi and Bill and Rosemary Carugan who all enjoyed his smile and fun loving attitude; they all loved him dearly. Marc was a diehard Yankee fan, like his father and enjoyed the Grateful Dead and Pink Floyd. He was madly loved by his two girls, Emma and Penny, who greeted him every day with many wags and puppy kisses. He loved working outdoors with his hands and always put a great deal of effort into making everyone laugh and smile. Marc attended John Jay High School, graduated in 2003 and was recently working as a sous chef at Bedford Post Inn and Restaurant in Bedford. He will be dearly missed by his numerous friends and extended relatives. Services will be held at St. Matthews Church, 216 Scribner Ave, Norwalk, Connecticut on Thursday, December 23rd, 2010 at 10:30AM. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations to be made in Marc's memory to the American Cancer Society or a charitable organization of your choice. Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to assist the family with the arrangements. To leave online condolences, please visit www.norwalkfh.com
