Luz E. Rodas

Luz Rodas, 64 of Norwalk, CT, went home to our Heavenly Father on August 5th, 2025.

Born in Medellin, Colombia, Luz immigrated to the US and settled in Norwalk CT, where she had resided since 1982. She blessed the world with her selfless love, acts of kindness, and beautiful soul. Luz spent her last day on this earth in her favorite way, with her grandson.

Luz met the love of her life and beloved husband of 43 years, Luis Rodas, while growing up in Colombia and were later married after arriving in the US.

She will always be remembered for her high spirited, life-of-the-party personality, and infectious smile. She loved cooking for her family, dancing, singing, weekend trips with her husband, gardening, spending time at church, and her favorite show Master Chef.

Luz had the biggest heart, and made it her mission to selflessly spread her love with everyone she met. She touched the lives of so many people, and was cherished by each one.

Luz worked at the Norwalk Hospital for 25 years, and was known for her positivity, humor, and dedication to her job.

She reminded us all that each day should be approached with love, compassion, and kindness.

She is survived by her husband, Luis Rodas, her children, Alberto Rodas & Cynthia Brown, her grandchildren, Maxwell, Tristian, Nora, Troy & Harper.

A celebration of Luz’s life will be held on Saturday, August 16th at 10am at Iglesia Tiempo De Cosecha - 26 Sniffen Street, Norwalk, CT 06850.
