Resident of Norwalk Luis Miguel Contreras age 29, died suddenly on November 25, 2014 in an automobile accident. He was born in Port Chester, NY on May 29, 1985 and was a beloved son to Francisco & Olma Contreras of Norwalk. Luis was a Veterinary Technician employed with VCA Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center. Luis, known by many as Drops and to his family as Mikey, enjoyed many things. He was an avid sports fan, particularly for the Dallas Cowboys. He frequently participated in many of these sports himself, from football, soccer and his company's softball team. Though his passion for music was front and center. He spent most of his adult life composing Rap music. If not with friends or family, Mikey could be found with pencil and paper in hand creating the next eloquent line of a verse. Luis was adored by his friends and family. His laugh and smile was infectious and he brought joy to anyone who had the honor of meeting him. In addition to his loving parents he was treasured by his two brothers, Francisco Contreras, Jr. of Shelton & Marvin Salguero of Norwalk; and his sister Vilma Gonzalez of Stamford. Family and friends are invited to greet the family on Sunday November 30, 2014 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday December 1, 2014 at 9:30 AM DIRECTLY at St. Mary's Church, 669 West Ave. Norwalk. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Norwalk.
